Counselling Supervision

Helping you to develop reflective practice.

Supervision helps counsellors and other helping professionals to develop their practice.

I have been a qualified supervisor for more than ten years, gaining my Certificate in Counselling Supervision from PCT Britain in 2006. I provide one-to-one supervision for individuals and group supervision for organisations, and have worked in variety of settings with both trainees and experienced practitioners.

Supervision is available weekly, fortnightly or monthly in Edinburgh or West Lothian.

My fees are £20 for an initial appointment to explore whether working together is likely to be helpful for you, and £50 for a 60 minute session.

I am passionate about supporting practitioners to enhance their therapeutic ability. Effective supervision facilitates the practitioner's learning and development through a continuous cycle of reflection on practice. My supervision work is informed by Schön's theory of the reflective practitioner and Rønnestad & Skovholt's framework for counsellor development, as well as by general models of supervision practice (e.g. Hawkins & Shohet, Carroll, Page & Wosket).
